Welcome to
Uttarakhand Cluster
THE STORY
The mountains that dominate Uttarakhand can also isolate the region's rural, poor population.

The Cluster began in 2008 as a way to connect local healthcare organisations so they could share their skills and resources, and increase their impact. Now, over fifty groups meet for training, support and to run projects. Together, they've helped make big steps towards healthier communities in this region of northern India.
WHAT THEY'RE DOING
Pioneering Inclusion
The Cluster has launched some of the region’s first disability inclusion programmes.
Mental Health
The Cluster co-runs the region's only mental health organisation that works in poor, rural areas.
Health Training

India's government outsources some of its healthcare training to the Cluster.
Disaster Relief
After 2013's devastating landslides and floods, the Cluster provided aid to 6000 families in 600 villages.
